At Teaching for Learning, using the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) we recognise the value of a CPD developmental approach ( McCarthy) and ongoing significant conversations ( Martesson & Roxa).

We created TFH hangouts as a space for students/instructors to connect, share and build Touch for Health with others at the same level and also a range of CPD workshops giving TFH instructors an opportunity to reflect on their teaching & student learning.

We propose that these ongoing regular interactions and reflections will:

  • make the student and instructor voices heard

  • make teaching, learning and thinking visible

  • add to the instructor sense of belonging and joy

  • build TFH & professional knowledge

We understand that any change will be likely to happen slowly or very slowly (Schulman) and we patiently allow time for evidence of educational improvement to emerge.
